Series Five: Doors
CLOSE-OPEN-CLOSE SERIES
I think it was probably my second painting in college. It was a red door. I loved figuring out that I could paint light without using light colored paint, but by using dark. I revisit this composition regularly. I often use it as a warm up exercise in a new medium.
