Collaborations between me and Deb Vogt are called Boy Deb.
Boy Deb came from our very first collaboration using an old 4 track recorder.
I uploaded the cassette recordings to my computer one track at a time.
I found a section of Deb’s voice and put a gender bender filter onto it making her voice sound more masculine.
It sounded very much like my voice.
The songs on Lace were recorded over several years as she moved from Chicago to LA, and I married an LA native.
We still get together every couple of years to jam in her little garden studio.
